We are
a small friendly Pole Sport and Fitness studio dedicated to helping you find your fitness
wings, with small classes to make you feel welcome, supported and encouraged,
dedicated to helping you achieve your fitness goals. Everyone is welcome, any
age, any level of fitness, any body shape or size, all abilities and backgrounds. You just need to start. Do you think you are not strong
enough? not flexible enough? too weak? too old? too uncoordinated? or [insert
excuse here]? It's never too late to start remember everybody had to start as a
beginner. We are dedicated to helping you improve your fitness while having
fun, making friends and having a laugh, fitness shouldn't be boring or a
drudgery.
For this reason Wings Aerial Fitness host a variety of classes all with a laugh and a
smile.
Some classes may require pre-requisites e.g. level 1 must be completed before level 2, refer to the individual class descriptions for more information.
Our range of classes will continue to expand as we grow, there is sure

What is Pole Sport & Fitness?
Pole can be for strength and fitness, acrobatic, a sport, an art form, dance, or a combination of them all, which is why so many people love it. Our Pole Sport & Fitness classes works your core, increases your overall strength, increases your stamina, improves your co-ordination and cardio and its so much fun. No prior strength, flexibility or dance skills required, you don't have to be fit or be able to lift yourself to start. Everyone starts as a beginner and builds their skills as they progress through the levels. Classes consist of a warm up, stretching and strength building exercises, pole tricks, linking tricks together into combinations, and a cool down sequence. Start at level 1 (beginners) and notice your strength, flexibility and coordination improve. You must have completed level 1 before progressing to level 2, your instructor will let you know when you are ready for the next level. Our Pole Sport & Fitness classes are term bookings only with some casual/drop in classes available for existing term students only (if there is a spare spot, send a message for availability and bookings). We do have private classes available for booking if you prefer to have that one on one attention or if you can't make the scheduled classes. Our classes are organised into levels e.g. Level 1 Beginners, Level 2 Pre-Intermediate, Level 3 Intermediate, Level 4 Pre-Advanced and Level 5 Advanced, this enables you to build your strength, flexibility and skills in a progressive and planned way. Have you attended pole dance or pole fitness classes before? send us a message and book in for an level assessment, this is to ensure you enroll in the right level. Level availability is based on enrolments and student demand. Practice classes are also available as casual bookings. You know what they say practice makes progress. The practice class is not to learn new tricks but to practice, improve your technique, continue to increase your strength and flexibility. This class is open to all current Pole & Fitness term members of all levels. Students are responsible for their own warm up and cool down.

Q. What do I bring to class? and what do I wear?
Our studio has reverse cycle air conditioning so we have temperature controlled comfort all year round.
Pole Sport & Fitness
There is often a fear as beginners you will have to have a lot of skin exposed. Fear not...Normal shorts above the knee and a singlet is perfect for beginner classes with bare feet or sport socks. Its best to be comfortable. You will need some skin exposed on your legs and arms to be able to grip the pole. On the day of your class do not use lotions, oil, fake tans, or moisturise your skin as these will make you slippery and we definitely don't want that... You will also need a drink bottle.
As you progress through the levels, you are starting to use different body parts to grip the pole without your hands, such as the back of your knees, armpits & stomach etc. For the intermediate and higher levels a crop top and short shorts are best. You also may want some grip aid to help you stick to the pole, we can advise and assist with purchases. If you prefer there are some companies that sell sticky leggings and tops specifically for Pole, just ask and we can point you in the right direction. What about heels? Some people love them and some do not, in our classes we do not recommend heels for the beginner classes, bare feet or sport socks are perfect. As you progress and get in the higher levels heels are optional, talk to your instructor about purchase recommendations. Optional grip products can assist with griping the pole.
Pole Sport & Fitness Doubles require the same as the individual Pole Sport & Fitness classes, you can enroll with a friend or you will be paired up with someone in the class. Optional grip products can assist with griping the pole.
Bounce face to face classes require a drink bottle, grippy socks, a towel (beach or bath towel sized and a smaller one to wipe your brow) to cover the trampoline when doing the conditioning component of the classes, a smile and comfortable workout clothes such as leggings and a t-shirt. If you don't have a pair of grippy socks we have grippy socks in some fabulous colours for sale, just ask your instructor before class.
Buns N Guns aka Resistance Bands classes require a drink bottle, a smile, comfortable workout clothes such as leggings, t-shirt or singlet, runners/sneakers and a towel to cover the yoga mat or floor, during the floor work. If you wish you can bring your own fabric resistance bands, you will need narrow body bands for upper body work and wider booty bands for lower body work, a yoga mat and/or towel (if you bring your own yoga mat you don't need to bring a towel). You can also purchase or order resistance band sets from us, just ask your instructor.
CHAIR Work Out class requires a drink bottle, comfortable clothes. For studio classes a chair will be provided. If you are enrolling in the online class make sure your chair is sturdy and on a flat level surface.

If your class is in the studio a chair will be provided. If you are enrolling in the online class make sure your chair is sturdy and on a flat levels surface with plenty of space around you.
Pole Stilettos require a drink bottle, pair of pole specific stilettos or other sturdy stilettos, normal shorts above the knee and a singlet, and a drink bottle the same as Pole Sport & Fitness. Optional grip products can assist with griping the pole.

Q. Why isn't there any classes available for booking?
Our classes are organised into 8 and 4 week terms, with limited spots. If all the spots are filled for the term, classes will not be visible. If the term class has a vacancy, they will be advertised as individual/casual spots and will be visible and bookable. Pole Sport and Fitness classes do not have individual/casual spots because these classes are based on strength, progression techniques and skills.
Q. What is Pole Sport & Fitness Doubles?
Pole sport & Fitness Doubles is a sport unto itself and every bit of impressive as the individual Pole Sport & Fitness we know and love, with an added challenge of working with a partner. In this 60 minute class, you will learn poses, spins, and be introduced to basic climb techniques, combining them into short combinations. Pole Sport & Fitness improves your cardio, works your core, increases your overall strength and increases your stamina. Be ready to have a great work out, build strength and fitness while having lots of fun. What to wear? A comfortable pair of shorts (above the knee is best), singlet or t-shirt and bare feet or socks. You must have completed Pole Sport & Fitness level 1 to participate in this class. This is to ensure your have a basic understanding of some of the pole terminology and moves.
Q. What is Pole Silks?
Pole silks is a combination of some traditional pole and silks moves, combining or fusing both together. In this 60 minute class you will learn spinning moves, static poses, inverted positions and some transitions in a novel and fun form of aerial exercise. You must have completed Pole Sport & Fitness level 1 to participate in this class. This is to ensure you have a basic understanding of some of the pole terminology and moves.
Q. What is Pole Sport & Fitness Conditioning?
This 60 minute Pole Sport & Fitness Conditioning class is designed to help build the strength required to master your pole moves. As you progress in your pole journey, the need for strength and flexibility increases to ensure movements appear clean, graceful, and smooth. What to bring to class? easy...the same as the individual pole sport and fitness classes, you can also bring a yoga mat, towel and a drink bottle.
Q. What is Pole Stilettos?
As a Pole Sport & Fitness studio we don't often wear heels. Are you wanting to learn the basics of pole heels? This class is an introduction and can help you learn to walk, spin, turn and perform Pole tricks with your head in the clouds. This 60 minute class is a whole different style of Pole.
Q. What is Bounce?
Bounce class includes choregraphed mini trampoline classes. The chart topping hits used in class are guaranteed to give you a great cardio workout with toning exercise sections for your bum, tum and thighs, even your face muscles get a workout, it's so much fun. The classes are suitable for all ages, shapes and sizes with lots of adaptions to suit any fitness level. The trampolines also have a safety T-bar handle. Classes are 60 minute classes or 30 minutes, which are great for people who are time poor but still want a great workout. So what are you waiting for? Jump on board and sign up.
Q. What is Buns N Guns?
Buns N Guns is a 30 minute resistance band workout with a difference. Choreographed resistance band routines to strengthen your arms, glutes, legs and core while dancing... what fun. The bands we use are high quality woven fabric with unique stretch fibers to give a wide range of motion without loosing any strength. They are strong, comfortable with latex grip on the inside of the bands which ensures they will not slip or roll during your routine. Resistance bands work your muscles much like weights do, unlike weights, resistance bands don't rely on gravity to provide the resistance. Resistance Band exercises keep your joints and everything else safe. The more you stretch the band, the more intense the resistance and the harder the exercise becomes. This class is for all ages and fitness levels, with three different band tensions to choose from, light, medium and hard, you control the intensity of your workout. Have fun, feel amazing and get toned at the same time.
Q. What is the We Stretch Our Muscles class?
This We Stretch Our Muscles class is for anyone who would like to increase their flexibility and range of motion. You will learn how to safely stretch your legs, hips, shoulders, and back while improving your flexibility, posture and balance. Great for reducing stress and assisting in faster muscle recovery from your workouts. Class is approximately 45 minutes.
Q. What is Silk Fan Veils?
Nothing beats the mesmerizing beauty of a silk fan veil. This is a 60 minute beginner class which includes basic silk fan veil moves, including flutters, waves, and easy combinations. The fans are made from bamboo staves and long flowing silk fabric.
Q. What is Fantastic Feather Fans?
Fantastic Feather Fans, in this 60 minute class you will learn to hold your fans, basic techniques and twirl, swirl and flutter your fans into a short routine. Ostrich feather fans have a long history of serving as relief from the heat or as fashion items. It wasn't till the approximately the 1930s that they began to be used by performers as a luxurious prop.
Q. What is Chair Acro & Dance?
Chair Acro & Dance is an exciting combination of acrobatics tricks, poses and flow on and around a chair. This 60 minute class helps build your strength, tone muscles, improve your balance and flexibility in a fun way. No need to be a contortionist to join, everyone is welcome.
Q. What is Chair Yoga?
Chair Yoga is perfect for YOU. If you are living with disabilities, weight, inflexibility, age or injury challenges or are simply unable to or don't feel comfortable getting on the floor for whatever reason, you can still enjoy the health and wellbeing benefits from the practice of yoga, in a chair. We teach LV Chair yoga which was created by Lakshmi Voelker in 1982, it is also known as LVCY. Its perfect in an office environment, at corporate events, anywhere you have a chair. Chair Yoga is perfect for anybody, on any chair, anywhere. Classes are approximately 45 minutes. GET FIT WHERE YOU SIT.

Q. Do you sell studio merchandise?
We have a wide range of merchandise, you can purchase/order resistance bands, drink bottles, bags, socks, hoodies, tank tops, singlets and t-shirts, have a look in the Merchandise List for the full range and prices. We can also help with purchasing sticky pole dance leggings, tops, grip aids and heels.
Q. What are the online classes & why are they different from other online classes?
At Wings Aerial Fitness we understand that you may not be able to get to our regular face-to-face classes, or sometimes we are not able to offer all our classes in a face-to-face format so we have developed online versions which are as close as possible to actually being in a face-to-face class. All the same fun and fitness benefits as our face-to-face classes with the advantage of being accessible when and at a time that suits you. All you need is a space clear of all obstacles, a flat surface, an internet connection and any recommended equipment for that specific class. Why not combine a face-to-face class with an online class to really enhance your fitness and exercise goals? You can view your online class as many times as you want within your access period. We also have equipment sales available and hire options for our local area clients. Q. What is are the Terms and Conditions of purchase and the Studio Core Values?
Our Core Values require all students display appropriate behavior at all times, in and surrounding the studio. Classes are aimed to be a safe, welcoming and an inclusive environment for all students of any age, ability and background. There is zero tolerance for bullying, intimidation or discriminatory behavior. Our studio is a judgment free zone and students are to refrain from judging or criticising others. Students are required to treat everyone with respect, courtesy, politeness and to avoid offensive or inappropriate comments. Where students must bring other people with them (such as children/family), there must be express consent from all the class members for them to be a spectator. Children must be supervised at all times and can not use equipment or interrupt the class.

Q. What are Wings Aerial Fitness health & wellbeing protocols?
We care about the health and well being of everyone, students, visitors and instructors that attend our studio including their families, friends and work colleagues.
All our protocols contribute to minimising the risk of transmitting illnesses to our staff, clients, family and friends. We adhere to good hygiene, frequent cleaning and regular maintenance of equipment and ensure staff, clients and visitors do not attend the studio if they are in any way unwell.
Please read and follow all the requirements while attending our studio.
To stay fit and healthy Wings Aerial Fitness request all clients
Current from 7 May 2023
* For the health and wellbeing of all students and staff please DO NOT attend the studio if you have any cold & flu symptoms, or are unwell in any way. Come back when you are feeling better.
* Your instructor will electronically mark your attendance when you arrive at class.
* Cough or sneeze into your arm/hand/tissue (putting the tissue in the bins provided) and make sure you use hand sanitizer afterwards or wash your hands.
* Bring hand sanitizer with you to class (there will be class sanitizer available if you forget) and use before and after class.
* Arrive 5 minutes before the class scheduled start time and be ready to start your class.
* Classes will start at the scheduled time.
* At the completion of class you are to clean your equipment with supplied cleaning products and leave the studio promptly, to allow the following class members to enter.
* Wash your hands frequently especially immediately before arriving for classes and afterwards with soap and water (20 seconds).
* Refrain from touching your face.
* Wear clean work out clothing to class.
* Bring a clean towel to class to put on the equipment (if appropriate for that particular class i.e. Bounce) and another to use for any sweat.
* Bring your own drink bottle with water.
* If you have Covid-19 please follow all NSW health advise which is available on their website NSW Health.
Wings Aerial Fitness will ensure:
* Prior to each class common touch points e.g. door handles & bathroom will be cleaned using disinfectant spray and/or wipes and/or recommended cleaning solutions.
* At the conclusion of each class disinfectant spray and/or wipes and/or recommended cleaning solutions will be available for clients to clean their individual equipment.
* The entire studio is regularly cleaned using disinfectant spray and/or wipes and/or recommended cleaning solutions.
* Wings Aerial Fitness and staff have completed an ' Infection Control Training' course issued by the Australian Government and the Department of Health.
This is to assist in reducing the risk of illness and keep ourselves and anyone who visits our studio healthy.
